Complaining about school is something that is basic human nature. The multiple tests, projects and assignments stress us out and lead us to believe that education is the enemy. In reality, education is one of the greatest gifts that this world has to offer. There is so much to learn about and I believe that is something that people take for granted. Believe it or not, access to a quality education is not something that everyone has the privilege of. School may be annoying sometimes, but at the end of the day, we are lucky that we are able to learn and receive an education. Nothing is more satisfying than the feeling of grasping a new concept and developing a new way of thinking.
The learning experience also goes far beyond a classroom setting. The world is filled with lessons waiting to be learned. We learn just as much in our everyday encounters as we do in school. These social experiences teach us about ourselves, as well as other people. There are so many opportunities to grow as a person. School is important, but so is being able to learn and develop as an individual. I encourage everyone to find a balance between the two.
Do not take the ability to learn for granted. View every day as a chance to learn something new. Whether it be in the classroom or outside of it, take advantage of these opportunities. Have an open mind and be open to new ideas. The effort that you put into your school work and everything else you do will pay off and make you successful. The power of learning is a beautiful thing, so do not let it go to waste.
